Eternal Records ₹20,211 Cr Revenue as Q1 FY27 Profit Touches ₹92 Cr

Eternal is the parent company of Zomato, Blinkit, Hyperpure, and District; the company announced its first quarter, FY27, revenues of ₹20,211 crore and a net profit of ₹92 crore, reflecting growth across the group, despite the margin pressure.

The company continued to see strong quick commerce momentum on most indices, with Blinkit serving as a key growth driver. The company’s top-line performance in the quarter was further buoyed by expansion in store count, increasing order volumes, and rising customer demand.

However, while revenues remained strong, profitability remained under pressure as Eternal continued to invest heavily in developing quick-commerce infrastructure, technology capabilities, and customer acquisition initiatives. Investments put pressure on earnings, leading to an otherwise modest profit despite a record revenue quarter.

The company has also been successful in terms of food delivery operations, where customer orders are steadily growing, and customer engagement is becoming more active. In addition to this, such initiatives as the Hyperpure B2B supplies operations and the District platform operate within the same company and allow the diversification of revenue streams while reducing reliance on a single business segment.

This business approach allows Eternal to benefit from two contrasting areas of business development: those of constant revenues and those of rapid development at the same time. The company management has paid increased attention to operational efficiency improvement, thus expanding its presence in urban markets with great demand.

Despite the fact that margins may keep fluctuating within the nearest quarters, analysts believe that quick commerce will remain the main growth driver of Eternal’s business. Even though it requires a lot of investments in the short run, the expanding ecosystem created by Eternal will ensure great returns in the long run.

Having crossed the mark of ₹20,000 crores in the last quarter, Eternal has proved to be one of the largest consumer-facing Internet businesses in India.
