Amounts are as reported at the time. It is a record of what we covered, not a complete count of the market, and it carries no aggregate total because the figures mix currencies and dates.

This page is Kalpway’s record of the Indian startup funding rounds we reported in October to December 2024: 14 rounds, 14 of them with a disclosed amount, plus 3 related deals that were not startup funding rounds. It replaces our individual reports from that period, which now redirect here.

What this is not. It is not a complete count of Indian startup funding for the period. It records what Kalpway covered, which is a subset of the market. Anyone publishing a market total owes you a definition of what they counted; ours is at the foot of this page.

The rounds

Amounts appear exactly as reported at the time, in the currency the original announcement used. Oldest first.

Where the original reports need a caveat

Re-reading this archive turned up figures the original coverage hedged, or that do not add up. We are leaving them visible rather than quietly tidying them away:

  • Conscious Chemist (2024-10-01): Atomic Capital's Apoorv Gautam joins board; article never says 'lead'
  • Urja Mobility (2024-10-09): Round is a mix of debt and equity
  • Zouk (2024-10-23): Valuation ~$50 million (Rs 400 crore) attributed only to industry insiders
  • The ePlane Company (2024-11-14): Prior $5M pre-Series A in early 2022 mentioned
  • Airbound (2024-11-15): Article also cites an earlier $50.1K round
  • Zepto (2024-11-23): Headline $1.35B is cumulative 2024 total, not this round; $5B valuation
  • OneCard (2024-11-25): Only Rs 71.4 crore secured; rest in tranches; ~$1.4B valuation
  • Curie Money (2024-12-19): Other participants unnamed: "institutional and angel investors"

These were filed under funding news at the time. They are different kinds of event, and counting them as venture rounds would inflate any total.

Reported Company What it was Amount Detail
2024-10-08 BlackBuck IPO step over INR 550 Cr SEBI approval only, not a raise; operated by Zinka Logistics Solutions
2024-11-21 Moksha Group Acquisition / stake purchase Not disclosed Asset purchase, no price; Arzooo had raised $85M total
2024-11-30 Zomato Listed-company placement Rs 8,500 crore Motilal Oswal 21% stated as ~Rs 1,750 crore; math implies Rs 1,785 crore

Method, and why there is no total

What is counted. Every round Kalpway published a report on during October to December 2024, one row per company. Where a single report covered several companies, each company gets its own row.

What is not counted. Rounds we did not cover. Acquisitions, IPO steps, listed-company placements, VC fund closes and results announcements are listed separately and excluded from the round count.

Why there is no aggregate figure. These amounts mix dollars and rupees, reported on different dates at different exchange rates, and several are hedged in the original source. Adding them would produce a number we could not defend if you asked how we arrived at it. A total you cannot check is worse than no total.

Verification status. Every figure is as reported at the time of our original coverage. These rows have not been re-verified against company filings or announcements, and some of the originals relied on secondary reporting. Treat this as a record of what was reported, not as confirmed transaction data. Our data methodology explains the labels we use.

This register consolidates 17 individual Kalpway reports from October to December 2024. The original articles redirect here. Compiled 11 October 2026.
