Jhana Raises $1.6 Million in Seed Funding to Revolutionize Legal-Tech with AI-Powered Assistants
Jhana, a promising legal-tech startup, has successfully raised $1.6 million in its seed funding round, led by Girish Mathrubootham, founder of Freshworks, and Manav Garg, founder of Eka Software, through their VC fund, Together Fund. This funding will fuel Jhana’s development of proprietary legal datasets and models while expanding its AI and law researchers team.
In addition to Together Fund, notable investors like Shyamal Anadkat from OpenAI, Scott Davis from VMWare, Kunal Shah from CRED, and Razorpay’s founders, Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar, participated in the round. Jhana anticipates further contributions from Indian investors and plans to announce the complete funding round soon.
Jhana specializes in AI-powered legal assistants designed to simplify the research and document review processes for attorneys, law firms, and in-house legal teams. The platform’s AI paralegal solutions can generate legal documents like propositions, citations, and comprehensive memos through natural language inputs. Leveraging a proprietary database containing over 15 million case law records and statutes, Jhana guarantees accuracy and efficiency in legal research.
