ClayCo Cosmetics is a six-month-old skincare startup that raised INR 16 crore in a Series A funding round led by Unilever Ventures, the company’s venture capital arm. The funds will be used to scale up operations, expand product offerings, and drive marketing efforts as the brand continues its rapid growth in the skincare industry.

ClayCo Cosmetics founded in March 2024 by Niharika Jhunjhunwala, combines ancient beauty traditions with cutting-edge skincare technology. With its flagship line, “Rituals of Japan,” ClayCo Cosmetics has already made waves in the market, offering products like the Rice and Sake Sleep Mask, Sake Glass Glow Essence, and Azuki Beans & Koji Rice Foaming Cleanser. These innovative formulations mix traditional Japanese ingredients with modern science, delivering high-quality skincare at affordable prices.

ClayCo Cosmetics plans to launch a new Moroccan-inspired body care range in the coming months, further expanding its product lineup. The capital infusion will also fuel investments in research and development, helping the brand introduce more globally inspired beauty solutions for its growing customer base.
